When Samantha Warran returned to the Bay after almost 30 years in America many things had changed

When Samantha Warran returned to the Bay after almost 30 years in America many things had changed, but one happy memory from her childhood is still up and running.
The fashion retailer, Come West in Paignton , opened in the mid seventies and is still alive and well, offering quality fashion items.
In the early days the shop was a magnet for people seeking design label jeans and has gone almost full circle now specialising in clothing from the 80s and the mod culture.
Samantha, who has a role in the new vampire related indie film series Immortium, stayed close to the fashion and model industry during her time in the US and is still keen to be active in that area.
After a chat with owner of Come West since 1984, Martin Bullus, an arrangement was made to carry out an initial brief fashion shoot.
Photographer Mike Alsford decided to use popular location Oldway Mansion, but in a low key style and giving a nod to its famous Singer history.
Martin expressed his delight at welcome changes outside his shop, saying: " We are delighted with the decision to allow traffic back into our road . Pedestestrianisation may be well intended, but it was killing us . We now also have an extra bonus with a first hour free parking."
He added: "As we travel into the winter and new year I am very optimistic about the continuing success of Devon's coolest shop."
