Over 90 businesses have so far signed up for a first Expo-style event in the Bay

For the first time the English Riviera BID Company and the Torbay Business Forum have joined forces to stage Riviera Connect at the Riviera International Centre in Torquay on Tuesday October 3.
The two organisations usually hold separate annul festival and conferences/exhibitions. But this year they decided to put all their efforts into one - and it's paying off.
ERBID Company chief executive Carolyn Custerson said: "We are absolutely thrilled by the overwhelming response to Riviera Connect, our first Business, Tourism, and Hospitality Expo. It's abundantly clear that there's a strong appetite for networking and collaboration in our community. With over 90 stands already booked and more than 300 enthusiastic attendees registered, the event promises to be a dynamic platform for businesses to connect and thrive. For those who haven't secured their spot yet, there's still time. Book to exhibit with us by 9am on September 25 and be a part of this exciting opportunity."
A speaker programme will comprise a 'curated collection' of industry experts, each poised to share invaluable insights and knowledge - from unravelling the mysteries of AI to navigating the intricacies of customer service excellence, and delving into the world of direct bookings.
There will also be workshops on TikTok discovery and LinkedIn virality.
Kelly Widley, from the Riviera Connect steering group, said: "One of the Expo's distinctive features is the emphasis on networking, providing an unrivalled platform for forging connections that lead to lasting business relationships. With over 90 exhibitors to network with, the opportunities are boundless.
"In this pioneering event, we bring together these vital sectors under one roof. The Expo promises a day of insight, innovation, and invaluable networking opportunities. With free admission and parking, we're making it as accessible as possible for professionals in these industries to connect, learn, and grow together."

She added: "Attendance is free, making this event a must for professionals in business, tourism, and hospitality. Don't miss this unique opportunity to be part of a groundbreaking event that showcases the very best of what the English Riviera has to offer. "
