Torbay Lifeboat Station
Torbay Lifeboat fundraisers are still active with a number of fundraising events.
It might be return to school at the end of the summer holidays but the Torbay Lifeboat fundraisers are still active with a number of fundraising events.
Adrian Howard from Orestone Wealth Management and Lee Howard from Howard Mortgages visited the lifeboat station to present two cheques for £525 each as their contribution as a Gold Sponsor of the RNLI Torbay Kilimanjaro Challenge. The Howard family are great supporters of local charities.
On Friday September 15, the annual service of dedication will be held on the Fish Quay in Brixham at 6.30pm. This is the service which has been rearranged following postponing the original date due to bad weather. Brixham Town Band and Shanty Band “Missing Tackle” will be performing.
For something completely different on Thursday evening September 21, Hoopers Fashion Show will take place at 6.30pm. Doors open at 6pm, complimentary refreshments will be served. Tickets are priced at £10 each and are available to buy from Hoopers and the RNLI Middle Street shop in Brixham with all proceeds going to RNLI Torbay.
Meanwhile our lifeboats have had a busy August with the all-weather launching four times and the inshore nine times. The majority of these launches were to individuals needing assistance. For more information refer to the website www.torbaylifeboat.co.uk
