The joy and unique challenge of American football is coming alive with Torbay Trojans, a local team with a rich history and a promising future.
Their annual recruitment drive aims to attract new talent, retain seasoned players, and build a culture of discipline, competitiveness, and positivity.
The Trojans are recruiting coaches, players and supporters of the team, based in Foxhole Community Centre, Paignton.
"We are looking for passionate individuals who are driven to achieve the goals of the team and contribute to its success. We’re also searching for people who understand the value of teamwork, respect each other, and have a strong work ethic" said Chris Thorpe, Chairman of the Torbay Trojans.
The Trojans are set to make their presence felt at the Torbay Pride event, engaging the community, and showcasing the camaraderie and spirit of the team. Stop by their marquee to chat with players and coaches, try on the kit, and learn more about the team.
“We’re determined to build a winning team and create an environment that encourages everyone to realise their potential," added the Chairman. "Our recruitment drive is our first step in achieving this goal. We want to provide opportunities for all talented individuals looking to join a team."
The highlight of the recruitment programme is the Rookie Camps training programme, commencing on September 10 at Foxhole Community Centre in Paignton at 10am. This intensive training camp offers young and aspiring players a unique opportunity to learn the game from experienced coaches, hone their skills, and experience the thrill of being part of a committed team.
"The Rookie Camps are about more than just finding new players; they're about instilling the values and culture that make the Torbay Trojans what we are," said the Chairman. "We're not just building a team; we're building a legacy.
