Burma campaign memorial service

A special memorial service has been held in Torbay for those lost in the Far East during World War II

It took place in the Memorial Garden on August 15 to commemorate the end of the war in the Far East with Japan's surrender to the Allies.
It was dedicated to those who fought in the Burma Campaign and all those who served and suffered in the Far East were remembered.
The Paignton, Torquay, Brixham and Newton Abbot branches of the Royal British Legion, together with members of the Royal Naval Association, the Merchant Navy Association, 200 Squadron Air Cadets, the Army cadets and The Sea Cadets joined together for the ceremony.
