Top weekend for Torbay AAC

Torbay Amateur Athletic Club members enjoyed their sunny bank holiday weekend with the Dartmouth Regatta 5.1 mile road race.
Martyn Breslan and Tessa Hearfield were up for the challenge of the hilly course with Tessa triumphing in her age category to take the first place trophy. Results: 30 Martyn Breslan 40:24, 81 Tessa Hearfield 49:35 1st fv65.
On Bank Holiday Monday, it was the Lustleigh 10k and three Torbay AAC members with Ian Sharrock and Leon Berry took on the hilly course. The Lustleigh 10K run is renowned locally as one of the most challenging multi-terrain courses in the local running calendar.
The course takes you over hilly lanes, down muddy tracks, through beautiful woodland, along the river Bovey before spitting you out into the village of Lustleigh and back to the show field to be cheered to the finish line by a horde of supporters.
