Torquay United boss accepts criticism within certain boundaries
Gulls manager Gary Johnson says he'd like to meet the fan he fell out with during Torquay United's 2-1 home win over Braintree Town this week.
Johnson says he's sorry that the supporter, who was sitting in Plainmoor's Bristow's Bench grandstand, missed United's late winner.
Johnson, in management for more than 30 years, says he accepts criticism, but he objected to the tone and personal nature of the fan in question.
"He had a yellow shirt on, so he's obviously a fan who's spent his money in the club shop, but he went over the mark," said Johnson.
"When I turned round at the end, he and his friend had gone, so they missed our winner, which was a shame.
"If he wants to get in touch, I'd like to meet him.
"I'm only bringing it up because I thought the fans on the Pop Side were great - they realised that we needed them."
