Torbay athletes setting great times

Torbay AAC athletes have been far and wide this week.
Rising young talent Paige Quinn was at the Trafford Open meeting in Manchester. She ran her first 800m in two seasons and came 2nd after a battle to the line but not only smashed her PB by about 15 seconds, she also got a new club record in U15 and U17 age groups and English Schools qualifying time of 2:17.97
Her next big event is u25/u17 champs at Birmingham, where she is racing her favourite distance of 3km.
Karen and Paul Frissen had a great few days in Bath, including taking part in the Two Tunnels Marathon. It was a great event, in very hot conditions with plenty of water stops. Karen overcame a broken wrist in the run up to the event to be able make the start and the couple ran together to claim an impressive train themed medal. Karen Frissen: 5:03:37, Paul Frissen: 5:03:41.
