Brixham Art Exhibition

Brixham Art Exhibition

Amazing exhibition heading to the Bay

Art lovers are in for an amazing treat in the week from Saturday, July 29 to Monday, August 7, as the Brixham Art Society hosts their Annual Art Exhibition at the Scala Hall, in Market Street, Brixham.
The exhibition is open from 10am – 5pm daily (4pm on the last day) and promises to be a fabulous showcase of talent.
The opening morning is Saturday, July 29, when all paintings will be available for viewing and on sale, until August 7.
The Brixham Art Society said: “We would like to extend a warm invitation to you to this wonderful event, which celebrates the creative talents of our local artists.
“The members of Brixham Art Society are local artists, though with a diverse range of life experiences. Many of them have come to live and exhibit in Brixham and its surrounding areas, not just from other parts of the UK but from other areas of the world, such as Europe, Mexico and the Far East. This serves to bring a unique and original perspective to their work.
“There will also be a chance to meet and engage with the artists themselves who will be there to steward the exhibition. It may also encourage those local to Brixham, who are themselves painters, print-makers, or sculptors to consider joining our vibrant society.
“Please mark your calendar for this event, and join us there, as your presence will make it more enjoyable and will also be an opportunity to appreciate the artistic talent within your community. Thank you in advance for your support.

Brixham Art Society was formed in 1949 to serve as a forum for local artists to meet, and actively pursue the practice of art through the mutual help and support of fellow members.
Throughout the years, artists have continuously produced a high standard of work, the results of which have been displayed at various public exhibitions.
The major one, which has been the main annual event for as long as the society has existed is held at the Scala Hall in the centre of Brixham. Every year, this is an enormous draw for locals and tourist alike. Many of the paintings are sold at this week-long event, and many of which go to tourists from abroad.
