Detectives want to speak to this man
Police have released images of a man they wish to identify in connection with an arson which destroyed up to seven community mini-buses.
Police were contacted by Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue, who were tackling a fire involving numerous vehicles at Barton Surgery car park in Dawlish, which is believed to have been started at around 2.10am on Friday July 14.
Detective Constable Kirsty Ampleford, who is the lead investigative officer for this case, said: “We have today released images of a man we are wanting to identify in connection to the arson in Dawlish last Friday night, in which numerous vehicles were destroyed.
“We appreciate that these images aren’t incredibly clear, but we are confident that someone will recognise this person and will be able to give us a name.
“It is vital that we identify and speak with this man as he may hold information vital to our investigation.”
DC Ampleford added: “The vehicles that were destroyed belonged to the local community and this transport is essential to many in Dawlish. If you have information that could assist officers with this case and have yet to have spoken with us, please contact 101 immediately.”
Anyone who may be able to assist with the police investigation is asked to contact police via the Force website or by telephone on 101, quoting crime reference 50230195029.
