Electric Bay Festival
Saturday showing defeated by the weather
Today’s (Saturday, July 15) showing of the Electric Bay Festival has been cancelled due to the yellow weather warnings forecasted in Torquay.
The spectacular event is due for Torre Abbey Green but organisers were forced to make the difficult decision with strong winds and thundery showers heading for South Devon.
Organisers said: “While we have robust contingency plans in place and have made every effort to allow the first day to go ahead, the extreme weather conditions may impact the safety of our customers, meaning we cannot open as planned.
“THE SUNDAY OF ELECTRIC BAY WILL STILL GO AHEAD.
“All Saturday customers will receive a full face value ticket refund and all weekend ticket holders will receive partial refunds – these can take up to seven days, so please with patient with us whilst we process them.”
