Event to bring community together
The team at Carousel Community Projects in Torquay are hosting a fabulous family fundraising event on the Babbacombe Downs on Sunday, July 16, from 10am – 5pm.
The day will include live music, a delicious hog roast, arts and crafts, face painting, balloon race tickets and vintage vinyl records for sale. Youngsters will be challenged to find the butterflies for a prize, plus the obligatory ice cream van.
Proceeds from the event will go towards the advancement of mental health solutions and counselling for depression, anxiety and stress through positive interaction, social events and learning engagement. There will also be some activity on the water, as a yacht from the Disabled Sailing Association floats into beautiful Babbacombe Bay. The DSA will have a stall on the Downs, packed with information on their amazing work.
