Paignton burglary: man in court after four arrested

22-year-old also faces drugs charges

Detectives investigating a report of burglary from a property in Paignton last week have made a number of arrests and charged one person in connection with the incident.

Thomas Stapleton, aged 22, of Winner Street, Paignton, was charged with two counts of burglary and two counts of possessing controlled drugs. He appeared at Plymouth Magistrates’ Court on Monday July 10 where he was remanded into custody.

An 18-year-old man from Paignton was arrested on suspicion of burglary. He has been released on police bail.

A 23-year-old woman from Newton Abbot has been arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender. She remains in police custody at this time.

A 26-year-old man from Paignton have been arrested on suspicion of burglary. He remains in police custody at this time.
