An action-packed weekend for Torbay Tri Club members began with Laura Amelia taking top podium spot with first place female at the Exeter River Run 10k, in a superb time of 39.33
Also in Friday night action were teams at the Erme Valley Relays, a popular event on the race calendar that attracted 90 teams this year for the 2.4-mile event, each run by four individual runners.
Paul Whitehead Stuart Batten Jerry Hocking and Simon Graham combined to take third place in the MV40 category in a total time of 64.03 while Ryan Rudge Steve Waters Wendy Urban and Linda Dabbs joined forces for a mixed team to finish in 68.09
The Dartmoor Classic, one of the toughest and most popular cycling sportives in the country, attracted several club riders who tested themselves over the challenging range of courses.
Going long on the brutal Grande (109 miles) was Ben Flowers 6.32 Andy Chapell 7.28 and Samara Taylor 9.14 while on the tough 68 miler Medio finishers were Jessica Smith 4.10 Neil Downer 4.31 Simon Loten 4.36 Helen Chapell 5.13 and David Hewet 5.39
