Devon Air Ambulance founder Ann Ralli met staff and volunteers working at the St Marychurch shop that raises funds for charity

Ann was visiting from her home in the United States to find out about the latest developments in all areas of the charity, which she founded in 1992.
In 1986, Ann's son Ceri was killed in an accident in which he was knocked from his bike. When she asked what could have saved her son, she was told that the quicker a patient receives treatment, the better their chance of survival.
This stayed with Ann and she launched the Ceri Thomas Appeal, dedicating herself to raising the funds needed to get an air ambulance in Devon. On August 27, 1992, Devon Air Ambulance flew its first mission because of Ann's work.
