Torbay Gilbert and Sullivan Society is celebrating 50 years with a gold anniversary production of HMS Pinafore.
Members will present one of Arthur Sullivan and W.S. Gilbert's most popular operas at The Little Theatre in Torquay.
A cast of 27 will tell the amusing story which includes 30 songs, which will be accompanied by an accomplished orchestra of around a dozen musicians directed by society musical director Bob Carter.
Stage direction is in the hands of Nigel Hickman and the audience is assured of surprises and unexpected twists and turns as well as romance and humour.
The show opens on Tuesday, July 4, at 7.30pm with performances all week until Saturday when there will be a matinee at 2.30pm in addition to the evening performance. Tickets cost £15/£16 and can be booked online at www.toadslittletheatre.co.uk or calling in person at the theatre. Children’s tickets are £5 and free with an adult at the matinee.
