Teignmouth Airshow returns this Saturday
Local and specialist police patrols will be at this weekend's Teignmouth Airshow.
The fun begins tomorrow (Friday, June 30) with live music from 6.30pm on The Den, with the air display on taking place on Saturday, July 1, followed by a Classic Car Rally on Sunday. The RAF Red Arrows are due to display at around 1pm on Saturday.
Inspector Steve Philp said: “We are delighted to welcome back the airshow this year once again. It is sure to be an exciting weekend but when large groups of people gather it is always important to think of others around you.
“Disruptive and anti-social behaviour will not be tolerated, and we will be working alongside event security and volunteer marshals to ensure that everybody has a fun and safe time. Respect the town and respect each other.”
Dave Matthews, volunteer director and chairman of Teignmouth Airshow, said: “Teignmouth Airshow have been engaging with Devon and Cornwall Police to ensure this weekend’s event remains a safe space for all event goers.
"Under-18s must be accompanied by a parent or guardian to enter our event arena, bag searches will be taking place on entry, only alcohol brought from our event bar is permitted within the licenced area of our arena.
"We thank you for your cooperation and hope you have a wonderful weekend here at Teignmouth Airshow!”
