A motorcyclist was taken to hospital with potentially life-changing injuries after a collision that closed Barton Hill Road, Torquay, yesterday (Friday, June 23).

Police were called at around 3.55pm to reports of a collision between a car and a motorcycle.

The bike rider, a 37-year-old man, sustained multiple serious and potentially life-changing injuries and was taken to hospital for treatment, said a police spokesperson.

Barton Hill Road was closed whilst the scene was examined by specialist forensic collision investigators.

Police are appealing for any witnesses that have not already been spoken to that may have witnessed the collision, or have dash camera footage, to contact police online or by calling 101, quoting the log number 702 of 23/06/23.
