Collaton St Mary welcomes new creative writing group open to all
Writers in and around Paignton are being invited to join a new weekly creative writing group in Collaton St Mary, starting this month with sessions led by author Hilda Kalap
Lunch & Write will begin on Friday, September 18, at Collaton St Mary Parish Rooms in Blagdon Road, running from 12.30pm to 2pm.
The group is being run by published author and spoken word poet Hilda Kalap and is open to both aspiring and more established writers.
Sessions will give writers an opportunity to meet others, share lunch and work on their writing in a group setting.
Hilda said: “Writing can be lonely. Many writers write in isolation, struggle to overcome procrastination and often feel their writing isn’t good enough.”
She said the group was intended to help writers “grow your self belief as a writer, improve writing skills and get published if you want to, as well as have fun.”
The group will meet weekly on Fridays at the parish rooms, with free parking available.
A single session costs £14, while a block of six sessions costs £12 per session.
The group is open to anyone interested in creative writing.
