She said: “When the guns fell silent at the 11th hour, of the 11th day, of the 11th month of 1918, a promise was made to remember those who had made the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom.”

“It’s a promise we keep today and renew every Remembrance Sunday.”

“I invite everyone to join the services being held on Remembrance Sunday.”

“To remember those from our bay who answered the call of duty and did not return, their families and the veterans still affected by their service today.”
