Another fishery that is fishing very well at present is Spring ponds at Rocombe, where some fantastic sport can be had with small to mid-size carp on light or match gear. It can also throw up a few surprises, as there are a few Chub stocked and the Perch have grown on to 5lbs+.

Kennick Flyfishers tried their hands at something a bit different and fished the upper Teign near Fingle bridge for wild brown trout as a change from their usual still waters. Great sport was had by all, where nine anglers caught around 60 fish with the best going 1lb and falling to the rod of Andy Watson.
Sea anglers have been a bit quieter this week with Teignmouth SAC reporting that their latest video and release match was won by Andrew Collett with a Dover Sole of 2lbs 8oz, some good Wrasse were also reported.
Chris Wagstaff has been amongst the fish again with a cracking double figure Smoothhound and lure angler Tony White has been fishing the open sea and finding plenty of Bass.
On the boats, members of Honiton SAC have been busy with plenty of Rays, Smoothounds and Bull Huss boated from the Bristol Channel. The south coast has proved a bit of a harder area to catch, although Ivor Moon found plenty of species to win the latest match topping it with a beautiful Red Gurnard.
