Images from a night of pain on Torquay seafront
The nation stopped for 90 minutes of hope, which quickly turned into 90 minutes of pain, and mild boredom, as Spain outclassed England in the European Championship Final in Berlin.
Al MacPhee from Miracle PR took his trusty lens to the awesome Electric Bay Festival on Torquay seafront to capture these amazing images of England fans suffering another chapter of football disappointment that now stretches back 58 years.
We even had some special local interest on the biggest stage, Torquay-born Ollie Watkins emerging from the bench after an hour to replace the ineffective skipper Harry Kane.
Watkins, like all the England players, tried to make a difference and we had brief hope when Cole Palmer stroked home a delightful equaliser but Spain brushed off the momentary pressure to reassert their dominance.
Football, sadly, is not coming home, but Torbay at least enjoyed the ride.
