There were apples – and fun – galore as Torquay staged one of its most popular events of the autumn.
People flocked from far and wide to enjoy and celebrate Apple Day at Torquay’s Cockington Court.
Apple Day wouldn’t be the same without an apple press. That took pride of place on the front lawn, where demonstrators turned apples into juice and described how to transform the juice into delicious homemade scrumpy. Visitors were also given the chance to bring their own apples for pressing.

There was much more to enjoy, with 40 stalls showcasing a range of local gifts, crafts and art. Delicious local food and drinks were available.
Crowds also enjoyed live music, entertainment, craft workshops and charity activities, as well as apple-inspired activities.
Resident Cockington Court makers also showcased their creative skills in their studios.
The successful day was enjoyed by hundreds.
