Apple Day at Torquay’s Cockington Court draws crowds with apple pressing, homemade scrumpy, local crafts, food, live music and family-friendly autumn activities

There were apples – and fun – galore as Torquay staged one of its most popular events of the autumn.

People flocked from far and wide to enjoy and celebrate Apple Day at Torquay’s Cockington Court.

Apple Day wouldn’t be the same without an apple press. That took pride of place on the front lawn, where demonstrators turned apples into juice and described how to transform the juice into delicious homemade scrumpy. Visitors were also given the chance to bring their own apples for pressing.
