Dates announced for Torbay’s Seafood FEAST 2025

From market tours to pier fishing, the English Riviera’s signature seafood festival returns this autumn

England’s Seafood FEAST will return to the English Riviera this autumn, serving up fresh flavours, exclusive experiences and a celebration of the region’s fishing heritage.

Taking place across Brixham, Paignton and Torquay, the festival invites visitors to enjoy tasting menus at award-winning restaurants, meet the people behind the catch, and take part in experiences celebrating sustainability and local seafood.

Renowned chefs Mitch Tonks and Simon Hulstone will be among those taking part, with Simon also marking the 20th anniversary of his Michelin-starred restaurant, The Elephant.

This year’s event will feature more than 38 experiences, from chef-led tastings and wine pairings to market tours and ‘catch and cook’ adventures. More than 40 species are landed at Brixham Fish Market, from crab and scallops to Dover sole and monkfish.

New for 2025 are two experiences at The Cary Arms — Sea & Serenity, combining a spa session with seafood dining, and Catch & Cook, where guests fish from the pier before enjoying their prepared catch.

There will also be a Coastal Art & Seafood evening with Emma Carter Bromfield at the Mercure Hotel, and Olive in Brixham will expand its Luxury Seafood Bottomless Brunch with oysters, monkfish, scallops and sardines, paired with unlimited wine.

Kelly Widley, Seafood FEAST Programme Curator, said: “England’s Seafood FEAST is a celebration that delights all the senses. Our mission is to encourage visitors to explore the rich culinary traditions of our coastal communities while enjoying the freshest British seafood in a lively and enjoyable atmosphere.”

Returning highlights include the Seven Chefs dining experience, taking guests to seven venues in seven hours for seven courses with paired local drinks.

Other events include Taste of Agatha at Torquay’s Offshore Bar & Restaurant, Sea Dogs at Shoreline in Paignton, and Seabirds and Seafood at Berry Head Nature Reserve.

Carolyn Custerson, Chief Executive Officer of the English Riviera BID Company, said: “England’s Seafood FEAST is a fantastic way to highlight our world-class seafood and talented local chefs, and also plays an important role in supporting our local economy.

“By attracting visitors outside the peak summer season, the festival helps local businesses stay busy, boosts trade for our restaurants, cafes and hotels, and showcases the English Riviera as a thriving year-round destination.”

Mitch Tonks, founder of Rockfish, added: “What makes England’s Seafood FEAST so special is that it connects people directly with the English Riviera’s fishing communities and the amazing produce that comes from our waters.

"England’s Seafood Coast has some of the finest fish in the world, and it’s not just about eating excellent seafood - it’s about meeting the people who catch it, understanding where it comes from, and celebrating the pride and passion that goes into every dish.”
