Churston Golf Club has reflected on a remarkable year marked by outstanding community spirit, competitive success, and continued investment in both its facilities and its people.

At the heart of the club’s achievements has been the extraordinary fundraising effort led by its members. While charitable activities are a longstanding tradition at Churston, this year’s initiatives carried special significance. The club rallied together in support of one of its junior members as he began his battle against leukaemia, demonstrating a deeply personal and united commitment from across the membership.

On the sporting front, Churston enjoyed an exceptional season. The club secured major honours including the Torbay Cup and the South Devon League title, alongside several other team successes. These victories underscore the strength and depth of talent within the club.

Particular pride has been taken in the continued growth and success of the junior section. The Churston girls, in particular, have distinguished themselves by representing Devon at both junior and ladies county level. Their achievements have contributed to the club being awarded Junior Hub status by the Golf Foundation and England Golf, recognising its dedication to developing young players.

In addition to its success on and off the course, Churston Golf Club has maintained a strong focus on improving its facilities. Ongoing investment has ensured the club remains a welcoming hub for the wider community. Beyond golf, the venue continues to host coffee mornings, functions, local group gatherings, and casual dining, reinforcing its role as a central part of community life.
