Gymnasts earn National squad selection after British Championships success

The South Devon School of Gymnastics is celebrating a major achievement after two of its athletes were named in the 2026 British national squads following the British Gymnastics Championships.

Abi Martin has retained her place in the British senior squad as well as the Project 165 programme, continuing her position among the country’s leading gymnastic talents.

Meanwhile, teammate Willow-Mae Calland has earned her first selection to the British development squad, marking a significant milestone in her rising career.

The club expressed immense pride in both athletes, highlighting the dedication, discipline and commitment required to reach national squad level in such a demanding sport.

Selection to the British squads represents a major step forward for both gymnasts, reflecting their strong performances at national level and their continued progression within the elite gymnastics pathway.
