Congratulations are in order for the U18 footballers at South Devon College, who have won through to the quarter-finals of the National Cup.

The SDC students are part of the Torquay United U18s programme and showcased their potential with a superb 2-0 victory at Hartpury College in the last 16, Jonah Shaw notching both goals for SDC.

Next up is a trip to Bridgwater College for a place in the semi-finals and this talented team will enter that game with plenty of confidence. The squad includes Aidan Edwards, who has featured for the Gulls’ first-team, and Fin Herbert, a winger playing alongside Edwards in Step 4 football at Brixham AFC.

The next generation of SDC footballers are invited to an open session at the College on April 20 for male footballers in Year 11, while the flourishing girls’ programme has an open session on February 20, also for Year 11 students.
