A pagan marathon in Chagford turns into a festival of Devon mud

Torbay triathlete takes on one of the few races to survive the nightmare January weather

The recent weather took its toll on some of the planned coastal races but it didn't stop one Torbay Triathlon Club member enjoying an event on Dartmoor 

The Pagan Trails Half Marathon is a challenging, midwinter trail running event based in Chagford, Devon, on the north eastern edge of Dartmoor. The route is known for being rugged and scenic, featuring ancient tracks, stone circles, standing stones, and potential for muddy, boggy conditions, which, of course, it was this year!

V45 Chris Martin couldn't resist the tough challenge and finished 43rd out of 150 in 3hrs 00mins 09secs.
