On a weekend dominated by bad weather and postponements, the one game that did go ahead featured a Torbay derby between Brixham Crusaders and Paignton 2nds.

On a soggy surface, Brixham grabbed the early lead with a try from Tom McLean, converted by Ben Brugge and the lead was soon extended by Jake Jones.

Brugge dotted down for 24-0 to the Crusaders before McLean notched his second of the contest. Paignton got their only score in the brutal conditions in the closing stages of a muddy first period.

After the break, Brixham were relentless, Ricky Workman the next to score. Jordan Green joined the scoring party and there was a further try from Jimmi Vidiri, as Paignton struggled to contain their hosts.

Victory was completed by Green and Brugge, a 60-5 success that gives the Crusaders a yawning lead of 16 points at the top of the table.
