Torquay United have suspended two players, Matt Worthington and Callum Dolan, following an incident.
The club issued the following statement on Friday: “Torquay United can confirm that an internal disciplinary process has been concluded following an incident last week.
“As a result, Matt Worthington and Callum Dolan have been sanctioned by the club and will not be available for selection over the next four first-team fixtures.
“As this is an internal disciplinary matter, the club will be making no further comment.”
United boss Paul Wotton moved quickly past the incident to announce the signing of young midfielder Sonny Sharples-Ahmed from Bolton Wanderers.
Sharples-Ahmed, 20, made his professional debut for the Trotters in 2023 and has spent time on loan with Bamber Bridge. He is also an Egypt U23 international. Sharples-Ahmed has signed on loan until January 4.
