Torbay AAC in Newquay
Fifteen Junior and Adult Athletes from Torbay Athletic Club travelled to Newquay to compete in the 2nd Westward League Cross Country Race.
The weather was dry, but a little chilly and the recent rain led to quite muddy conditions on parts of the course.
There were some amazing individual and team performances on the day, especially from the juniors with Ella Richards and Scarlett Muscott coming in first and second respectively in the U17 Women’s race, Annalise Little was second in the U15 Girl’s race and Theo Glew came second in the U17 Men’s race.
Results on the day were as follows:
SM – 8,200m – 100 Kevin Lofts 34.47, 134 Anthony Raine 39.14
U17M - 5,200m – 2 Theo Glew 17.23, 15 Issac Hammond 19.35
U15B - 3,900m – 10 Leon Snell 13.19, 14 Henry Gardiner 13.42, 25 Sam Freestone 15.03
SW – 5,200 – 103 Nadine Lee 27.34
U17W – 5,200m – 1 Ella Richards 20.53, 2 Scarlett Muscott 20.56
U15G - 3,900m – 2 Annalise Little 14.28, 16 Lily Stone 17.10, 20 Lola Gay 17.50, 23 Beatrice Bateman 18.16
U13G - 3,200m – 8 Neve Blacker 10.51.
The Torbay AAC U17 Women’s and U15 Girls teams both currently lie in third place in the overall league with the U17 Men’s team in fourth place.
