The action continues at Newton Abbot Racecourse on Monday afternoon with a competitive six-race card.
The meeting kicks off at 2.20pm with a maiden hurdle over the two mile and two furlong trip before it comes to a close at 4.50pm with the bumper a - a Flat race ran over Jumps rules.

Up first is the two and a quarter mile class four maiden hurdle (2.20) and Breaking Cover looks the way to go in the opener for trainer Anthony Honeyball, switching back to hurdles having had a stint over fences and that previous form was very handy before not really taking to the larger obstacles. Roadshow rates the next best for trainer Paul Nicholls, a useful winner on the Flat and showed promise when second over course and distance back in May.
Five runners will head to post for race two of the afternoon (2.50) and Nicholls should be bang in the frame again with Centara, who arrives on a hat trick with comfortable wins at both Hereford and over course and distance on his last two starts so a 10lb hike in the weights here might not be enough to stop him landing the treble.
Max Of Stars is the selection in race three (3.20) which is a two-mile handicap hurdle, unbeaten in three starts over course and distance for trainer Ollie Pears including a victory ten days ago and is up 4lb in the weights here but remains of big interest, whole race five (3.50) can go the way of Stiletto, a winner last time out over course and distance 20 days ago to make up for a struggle on stable debut at Warwick prior to it.
Trainer Chris Honour’s Time To Bite gets the nod in the penultimate race on the Newton Abbot card (4.20) as a small field of four tackle the two and a half mile handicap chase in class four, with the ten-year-old having won three of her last four starts over hurdles back in May and regained some form having fallen at this track later that month but finishing second over hurdles last time out.
Finally, the card comes to a close with the bumper at 4.50 and five runners are set to take it on. Preference in the finale over two miles will head the way of Queen Kate, successful on debut at Doncaster and improved on that form when a three length fourth at Aintree three months ago, so sets a very good standard for the rest to hit here.
