Sherwell Valley victorious in Yeovil
Sherwell Valley Primary School are the best in the SW
Huge congratulations to the young footballers at Sherwell Valley Primary School in Torquay, who emerged triumphant from the South-West Finals in Yeovil to now move forward to the Southern Finals in Slough.
Representing Torquay United in the SW event, the Sherwell boys from Years 5 & 6 were unbeaten all day, scoring 14 goals and conceding just two as they swept past the rest with superb skill and efficiency. Incredibly, Sherwell Valley have now reached the Southern Finals for three years in succession.
And it’s not just the lads shining at the school for sporting excellence, with Sherwell Valley Girls from Years 5 & 6 celebrating a recent visit from Torbay MP Steve Darling for International Women’s Day by recording a 2-0 win over St Marychurch in the League, followed by a 7-0 defeat of St Marychurch B in the President’s Cup.
