Fourth Round draw for the FA Trophy
Torquay United or Horsham have been drawn away to Southern League club Gosport Borough in the Fourth Round of the FA Trophy.
If the Gulls triumph over Horsham in the rearranged fixture after Storm Darragh, Paul Wotton’s men will make the trip to Hampshire on Saturday, January 4.
Gosport are currently mid-table in the Southern League Premier and won through to this stage with a superb penalty shoot-out victory over Worthing, who compete alongside United in the National League South.
Gosport scored a late equaliser to force the Worthing tie to penalties and then held their nerve to secure a potential bumper tie at home to United.
Their most recent outing in the league was a 0-0 draw at home to Plymouth Parkway and they also defeated Tiverton Town 3-0 earlier in the season. The club enjoyed a famous run to the FA Trophy Final in 2014, eventually losing out to Cambridge United at Wembley.
