George Spencer racing on his BMX
Young star from Sherwell Valley in need of sponsorship
A BMX prodigy from Sherwell Valley Primary School is seeking sponsorship to reach the top of the Great Britain rankings in this exhilarating sport.
George Spencer is nine years-old and a member of Decoy BMX club. This season, he was invited to join a race team called Rustynut racing (they provide lots of emotional support but not financial support), which was a real honour for him.
He has been riding his BMX since he was six and has progressed from riding club races to regional races and now national races.
This year, he battled against over 50 other boys his age in 10 races all over the country and is now ranked GB number 10. The top 16 boys make the GB squad and qualify to race at the world championships, which next year will be held in Copenhagen.
