Final placings from rowing regatta series

The West of England Amateur Rowing Association has announced the final 2024 Championship positions. The ten regatta Championship series ended at the Port of Dartmouth Royal Regatta with all of the regattas having been held with the exception of Plymouth, which was cancelled due to bad weather.

The two Bay clubs, Paignton and Torquay, competed with depleted squads but excelled in committed effort at regattas accumulating many fine results. However, it was the youngsters from the two clubs who featured in the Championships, which is a good sign for the future.

A composite crew from the two clubs came third in the Championship Open Under 14 coxed quadruple sculls. Other Championship placings included Harrison Green of Torquay third in the Open Under 18 single sculls; Josh Bradley of Paignton third in the Open Under 16 single sculls; William Jackson-Heritage of Torquay second in the Open Under 14 single sculls; and Sophie Evans of Torquay second in the Women’s Under 14 single sculls.
