Ultramarathon challenge for Cancer Research

Samara Taylor, a physiotherapist at Mount Stuart Hospital in Torquay, has completed an incredible 10 ultramarathons in the space of 10 days, raising over £1,000 for Cancer Research UK in the process.

Samara ran approximately 30 miles every day to reach a total of 300 miles in just 10 days.

She said: “Statistics suggest that one in two of us will get cancer at some point in our lifetime. As is sadly the same for a lot of people, many of my family and friends have already been diagnosed with or treated for cancer. By continuing to support research, we are able to improve the quality of care that people receive and move closer towards finding a cure.”
