South Devon star on European Gymnastics’ biggest stage

Young superstar Abigail Martin South Devon School of Gymnastics will take her growing talent to the international stage this week, when she competes for Team GB in the European Championships held in Italy.

A proud news release from the South Devon club said: “We would like to congratulate Abi who has been added to the GB team for the European championships next week. This will be Abi's first ever senior major competition and it is such an achievement to be selected to be part of such an incredible team.

“Abi has been working hard at Lilleshall for the last three weeks at the preparation camp and will now travel out with the team to Italy this weekend. We would like to say a massive good luck to Abi and the whole team out in Italy, you have worked so hard go and enjoy the experience and do your best.”

The women’s team will take huge inspiration from their male counterparts, who secured a superb silver for Team GB in the men’s event last week, just losing out on the gold medal to champions Ukraine.
