Torbay Tri Club at Bideford Half Marathon

Torbay triathletes enjoy success in North Devon

Torbay Triathlon Club were well represented at Bideford Half Marathon, with lots of outstanding performances run over 13.1 miles.

 

Jason Hurford was the leading club man in a superb 1.14.56, while Ben Gerrish wasn't far behind in a fantastic PB of 1.16.23, showing some fine form leading into marathon season. Debbie Burman took 2nd AG, joined by Gary Burman making his half marathon debut and Kate Baldock also ran her way to a PB.

Offering fantastic views of Dartmoor and the surrounding countryside, Katie Giles successfully completed the Granite 20 Miler as part of her London Marathon training. Starting and finishing in Okehampton, Katie enjoyed some good running weather to finish in 3.30.11.

Congratulations to Nick Cull from Torbay Tri Club, who was named Technical Officer of the Year at the Triathlon England Awards, a fantastic achievement for Nick, who makes all the events possible. Torbay Tri just missed out on the Club of the Year prize.
