Youth players are invited to trial with a football development academy co-founded by former Premier League player and manager Garry Monk.
Soccer Profile Devon Academy is run by Garry and his brother, Stuart, and during a successful 2022-23 season, players gained valuable experiences and opportunities that contributed to their development and showcased their talents on a larger platform.
Stuart said: "As we look ahead to the 2023/24 season, we are currently in the process of organising trials for our under-15, under-16 and under-18 squads. We are thrilled to announce that Garry will be present to lend his expert eye and evaluate the participants."
Garry started his career as a trainee with Torquay United, making five appearances in the 1995-96 season. He moved to Southampton to complete his apprenticeship and turn professional, before going on to play for Stockport County, Oxford United, Sheffield Wednesday, Barnsley and Swansea City. A managerial career then saw him at the helm for Swansea City, Leeds United, Middlesbrough, Birmingham City and Sheffield Wednesday.
The trials will take place at Torquay Academy on Friday, June 16, from 6pm to 8pm. To register, email support@soccer-profile.com.
