Torquay United have bolstered their attacking options with the signing of winger Jack Stobbs from National League rivals Oldham Athletic to the end of the season.
In the wake of Dillon De Silva's return to Queen's Park Rangers recently and a groin injury to fellow loanee Lewis Collins against Wealdstone last weekend, the Gulls were short of wide players, so manager Gary Johnson has moved to address the issue.
Leeds-born Stobbs, 26, began his career with Sheffield Wednesday, where he made six league and cup appearances, and had loan spells with Port Vale and Livingston before moving to Oldham.
He has played 44 games for the Latics, scoring twice, and Johnson said: "He first came to our attention when he played very well against us at the start of the season.
"He's been a victim of circumstances at Oldham, so we inquired about him and they agreed that he could come to us on loan."
Oldham have virtually banished their own relegation worries under new manager David Unsworth, which may have played a part in their decision to let Stobbs come to Plainmoor - he will go straight into the squad to travel to Gateshead this weekend.
Meanwhile, United have also sent defender Ollie Tomlinson, whom they recently recalled from Taunton Town, out on loan again to NL South club Chippenham Town.
