A group of talented young footballers from the Soccer Profile (Devon) Academy had the experience of a lifetime during a half-term two-night stay in Liverpool.

The trip began with a training session led by Liverpool FC Academy coach Paul O'Brien and Liverpool FC Women Academy goalkeeper coach Paul Delahunty.

The following day, Ian Thompson, Liverpool FC's senior Academy scout, joined the players for breakfast and shared his valuable insights with the group.

Then, the players headed off to play their fixture against the Steven Gerrard Academy under the guidance of former Premier League player and manager Garry Monk.

After the match, the group headed to Anfield for a tour of the stadium, where they had a behind-the-scenes look at one of the most iconic stadiums in the world. They learned about the rich history and tradition of Liverpool FC.

The day ended with the group travelling to Turf Moor to watch Barnsley v Watford.

On the last day of the trip, the group had their final training session led by former EPL player and manager Garry Monk.

They visited Goodison Park, home of Everton FC, and learned about the city's rich football heritage before departing for home.

"It was a great trip that provided the group with opportunities, experiences, and memories that will endure with these talented players for an eternity," said Stuart Monk, Soccer Profile's managing director.
