Brixham AFC must hit the road to Wembley after reaching the Fifth Round (last 16) of the Isuzu FA Vase for the first time in their history with a resilient 2-0 win over Raynes Park Vale at Wall Park.
Goals by Reece Somers just before half-time and man-of-the-match Sean Adderley in the 74h minute saw off the South London visitors in a rearranged tie, one of the few that took place over the weekend after waterlogged pitches turned to frozen ones.
The victory, in front of nearly 300 fans at Wall Park, will send the Fishermen to either Corsham Town (Wiltshire) or Deal Town (Kent) in Round Five on Saturday, February 11.
Peninsula League Brixham, the joint lowest-ranked team left in the competition, had to defend for long periods against Raynes Park, but they did it so well that goalkeeper Grant Fisher had few serious saves to make.
Somers broke the deadlock in the 41st minute, shooting home after a first shot had been blocked, and Adderley drove in the clincher after the Park goalkeeper could only parry a header from a corner.
The result boosted Brixham's prize money from this year's competition to nearly £5,000.
At Newton Abbot, Homers Heath was unplayable for a second weekend for Buckland Athletic's tie against Ascot United - that game has now been moved to this Saturday, January 28.
Buckland, quarter-finalists last year, will also be away if they get through, to Bridgwater Town or Erith Town.
