South Devon footballing ladies are dedicating one of their next games to raise money for a special cause.
Teignmouth Ladies FC take on West Exe in a league fixture on Friday April 11.
The club says: "The ladies have a league fixture against West Exe. The ladies squad have made the decision to make this game a charity match to support and raise funds for Holly Bedford, a respected local footballer who has recently been diagnosed with cancer."
The match will take place at Coach Road at Newton Abbot with a 7.30pm kick off.
The Teignmouth club says: "Attendees will have the opportunity to donate through collection buckets and take part in a raffle, with all proceeds going directly to Holly. This event aims not only to raise money for medical treatments but also to help Holly continue to live life to the fullest during this challenging time.
"The generosity and support of the local community will make a meaningful difference, ensuring that Holly feels the love and strength of those around her.
Join us for this heart-warming occasion, where football and community spirit come together for an important cause."
Holly, 32, has received devastating news that she has melanoma cancer stage 4.
She was born premature at Torbay hospital and she defied the odds and fought to live when she only weighed just over two pounds.
Holly's journey with her health has had its many challenges. She has epilepsy, hemiplegia migraines and this is the 2nd time of being diagnosed with melanoma.
