A Paignton veterinary practice has launched a new campaign to help local pet owners improve their animals’ health and spot any signs of illness earlier.
Dart Vale Veterinary Group Paignton, based on Manor Road, is offering free wellness consultations throughout January, along with half-price PitPat activity monitors for dogs to help owners better track their pet’s exercise.
The initiative aims to support healthier lifestyles for pets, with vets highlighting that maintaining a healthy weight and keeping active can reduce the risk of illness, improve mobility and boost overall wellbeing.
During the free checks, each pet will receive a full life-stage assessment with a vet or nurse, who will review their general health, diet, lifestyle and preventative care needs before offering tailored advice to owners.
Through a partnership with PitPat, dog owners will also receive a 50 per cent discount voucher to purchase an activity monitor and app, designed to track movement levels and provide personalised exercise guidance.
Clinical Directors Victoria Goss and Kevin Davidson said January was “the perfect time for a fresh start” when it comes to pet health.
They said: “January is the perfect time for a fresh start and a focus on health, and that includes your pets. During the free consultation, we will carefully evaluate each pet who comes through our door to identify how their overall health can be improved and detect any underlying conditions early.
"Our team will then provide expert advice and support, to help every owner take those first steps towards a healthier lifestyle for their pets.”
Owners have until 31 January to book a free consultation. Appointments can be made by contacting the practice directly or online via www.cvsvets.com
