There will also be an Armistice Service on Fore Street in St Marychurch by the War Memorial at 11am, and a Memorial Service on St Mark’s Road at 1pm.
Later in the evening, a Festival of Remembrance will take place at Central Church in Torquay at 7.30pm.
In Paignton, a short service will be held at the War Memorial in Palace Avenue Gardens, where the two minutes’ silence will be observed at 11am.
In Brixham, a Remembrance Service will take place by the Churston War Memorial at 10.55am.
Armistice Day marks the anniversary of the end of the First World War on 11 November 1918. Each year, the occasion provides an opportunity for reflection and gratitude for the service and sacrifice of the Armed Forces, both past and present.
Residents who are unable to attend a service in person are being encouraged to pause wherever they are at 11am to observe the national two minutes’ silence.
