Animals in Distress is appealing for information after a tabby kitten aged approximately 6 months was found dumped in the Hele area of Torquay, taped into a tiny box.
Found on Thursday 12th September, the kitten is now safe at the Animals in Distress rescue centre in Ipplepen.
Rowana Rowan, Communications Co-ordinator at Animals in Distress said: “The kitten – who our cattery team have named Baloo - was obviously stressed and confused when he arrived at the rescue centre, but he began to settle in within a few minutes. He is a sweet and friendly boy, very confident and affectionate. He was obviously someone’s pet. We can’t imagine why anyone would do something like this.” Animals in Distress are seeking more information about who might have done this. If anyone recognises this kitten or the distinctive box he was found in, please contact Animals in Distress via their Facebook page @AnimalsinDistressIpplepen or by email at info@animalsindistress.uk.com.
