Couple in line for top award for Torbay and its 'Great Escape'

A Torbay holiday company is hoping to pick up a national award after showing how great it is to 'escape' to the English Riviera.

Husband and wife Jamie and Kate Trust founded Saltwater Escapes in 2019.

Now the Brixham-based holiday home management and letting agency have found out that they have made it into the finals of the Devon Muddy Stiletto Awards 2023 for 'Best Boutique Stay'.

The company began by managing bookings and guest communications for their own holiday homes. Saltwater Escapes has since grown from managing six properties in 2021, to now just under 50 properties and the portfolio growing all along the South Devon coast from Teignmouth to Dartmouth.

Kate said: "We pride ourselves on our personal service, communication with our guests and working closely with our owners who place their trust in us to manage their holiday homes ensuring standards are kept high and guests keep returning.

"After a period of huge growth, which has been an incredible amount of work, we are really proud to be recognised as a finalist in these and hope that we can go all the way to win it and continue to bring visitors to Torbay and South Devon.

Jamie and Kate should know if they have won the national title on June 13.

Entries have to be submitted by noon this Friday. A judging panel will whittle down a shortlist of finalists with winners being announced at a gala, black-tie finals night at the Riviera International Conference Centre in Torquay on June 15
