Communities will come together to celebrate Saturday's coronation of King Charles III with events over the bank holiday weekend - including the biggest firework display ever seen in Torbay.
In London, King Charles will be crowned alongside Camilla, the Queen Consort, at Westminster Abbey, London and the ceremony will be conducted by the Archbishop of Canterbury.
Buckingham Palace announced ceremonial, celebratory and community events that will take place over the coronation weekend, including:
Saturday (May 6) - The Coronation Service at Westminster Abbey
Sunday - The Coronation Concert at Windsor Castle and The Coronation Big Lunch
Monday - The Big Help Out.
Across Torbay, the council is working with community partners to stage a weekend of free celebratory events.
Across the weekend, the festoon lighting along Torbay and Paignton’s seafront will be turned red, white, and blue, and coronation flags will be flown at Torquay Town Hall between Friday, May 5, and Tuesday, May 9. Bunting will be put up in all three towns.
In Brixham, six days of community celebrations, between Wednesday, May 3, and Monday, May 8, are being planned by Brixham Future Partnership.

In Paignton, the Torbay Coronation Festival on Paignton Green is 11 days of fun and celebrations, from last Saturday (April 29) until bank holiday Monday, May 8. The Anderton and Rowland's Funfair will be open throughout the festival.

A big screen showing live broadcast of the coronation ceremony on Torre Abbey Meadows. Bays Brewery, along with local caterers will also be on site, 10am-6pm.
Sunday, May 7
An afternoon of entertainment from the team behind Children’s Week, live musical performances from local acts including Rock Choir, The Humanitarians and Sound Communities. Headline act Joey The Lips, plus family activities, games and walkabout acts.
Coronation Stage Acts
Plus, throughout the day a coronation selfie booth, non-food stalls, charity stalls, face-painting and free flags.
Torbay Community Development Trust (TCDT) will be running a volunteer hub to showcase Torbay-wide volunteering opportunities, ahead of The Big Help Out national event on Monday, May 8.
More than 15 local organisations will be there to showcase the positive impact volunteering has on local communities and how you can get involved.
Food and drinks will be on sale from 11am to 10.30pm. Cash and card payments will be accepted, but please bring both to avoid disappointment as there will be no cash machines available on site.
To minimise plastic waste, fresh drinking water will be provided to top up re-usable drink’s bottles. Glass bottles of any kind are not permitted on site.
Free toilets will be available, including disabled and baby changing provisions. A disabled viewing platform will be provided to ensure everyone gets to enjoy the day.
Dogs are welcome but must be kept on a lead. Dog owners are responsible for their dogs at all times.
A medical tent and lost children’s point will be available and signed should these services be needed.

Screening of the coronation ceremony with a cream tea, Saturday, May 6, 10.30am-12.30pm, free to all
Contemporary service followed by a free barbecue, Sunday, May 7, 10am. Kids groups are available for all ages.
