Torquay's Princess Theatre has announced an outstanding line-up of A-list comedians and music performers for the upcoming season.

Headlining the comedy shows are Jon Richardson, known for his appearances on 8 Out of 10 Cats and his own BBC Radio 4 series, Jon Richardson: Ultimate Worrier, multi-award-winning comedian, writer and actor Russell Kane, stand-up comedian, author and television presenter Dave Gorman, Russell Howard, one of the most successful comedians in the UK, Sarah Millican, winner of the Best Female Stand-up at the 2011 Chortle Awards and the beloved radio show I'm Sorry I Haven't a Clue, hosted by Jack Dee.

Joining them on stage will be impressionist and satirical comedian Rory Bremner, comedian and improviser Pippa Evans, Milton Jones, known for his surreal one-liner jokes, and Marcus Brigstocke, comedian, actor and writer.

The Princess Theatre has a long history of hosting comedic talent, dating back to its opening in the 1960s when the legendary Morecombe and Wise and Tommy Cooper graced the stage.

Since then, the theatre has had the pleasure of hosting Jethro, Freddie Star, Al Murray, Harry Hill and Dawn French, to name a few.

"This upcoming season continues that tradition and solidifies the Princess Theatre as one of the premier destinations for live entertainment in the area," said a Princess Theatre spokesperson.

"The ability to attract such an impressive line-up of comedians demonstrates the venue's commitment to providing top-notch performances for the local community."

"The season promises to bring a diverse range of entertainment to Torbay, showcasing the best in comedy and music.
